Barbara Mitchell is a consultant, speaker, and award-winning author. Most of her business career was spent with Marriott International in human resources leadership positions.

Currently she is the managing partner of The Mitchell Group in Washington, DC. Her passion is around helping organizations provide the best employee experience possible to maximize productivity. She is also a seasoned career coach and works with individuals to help them find their next career opportunity.

Her next book will be The Decisive Manager in March 2023. She also blogs for ASAE’s Association CareerHQ’s website.

Barbara also serves on the board of directors of twononprofits and is a docent at The Smithsonian American Art Museum.
