The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) helps businesses start, expand or relocate in Fairfax County. FCEDA offers a wide range of services across three business investment divisions — National, International and Business Diversity — that work with companies. The FCEDA also has market intelligence, real estate services, and communications divisions. In 2020, it launched a multi-faceted talent initiative aimed at attracting, retaining, retraining, and growing the workforce that companies need to succeed in Fairfax County.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

As Director of FCEDA’s Talent Initiative Program, Mike Batt is responsible for developing programs and delivering solutions to solve the talent management attraction challenge at scale, aimed at retention, retraining, growth, and attraction. Mike joined FCEDA in 2019 after retiring from Microsoft after a 30-year career in technology sales and channel management positions.
