Navigating Employment & Life Challenges in 2020

This year has been filled with uncertainty, loss, and changes that are hard to count. How are you taking care of yourself through it? What's in your control if you've been laid off? We'll explore and normalize the emotional experience of career changes during a pandemic and discuss self-care strategies to build a bank of resilience. Caitlin Magidson is both a therapist and career coach and will talk about the power of mindset, how to get free of thinking traps, and the most important steps to consider in moving forward in your job search.

Caitlin Magidson is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Career Coach in private practice serving clients in the Washington DC metro region and remotely around the world. Caitlin integrates her specialties of mental health counseling, career coaching, and business coaching as she works with clients navigating life transitions to gain clarity and confidence in reaching their goals. She previously worked as the Assistant Director of Coaching & Education at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School and is certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Strengths Finder, Strong Interest Inventory, EQ-i 2.0, and EQ 360 with a Career Management Certificate from The Academies. Caitlin has presented at local and national career development conferences and holds a BA in Corporate Communications from Elon University, and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University.
