Speaker Website:  www.orchidsuites.net

Three strategies for gaining the perspective and the strength to find the right place for yourself in a tough job market.

Bio – August 2008

As an educator, communicator and manager, Ms Morgan-Jaffe has worked for over 30 years to help others achieve results. As a result she has a broad reach of skills and experience.

In the field of communications, she was a graphic designer and art director for 15 years. During this time she taught herself the craft of graphic design before and after computers and internet, ran her own business, worked as an art director for Time-Life Books and various area magazines, and now runs a web services firm that develops powerful software organizations can use to manage business effectively.

In the field of education, Cindy graduated from Hampshire College where she studied architecture and environmental psychology. At 40, she returned to school to get a masters degree in school counseling from George Washington University with a focus on career development for young people. She worked for a career development firm called MasteryWorks for 5 yrs where she was a director of the youth services division and helped develop a curriculum called InternSmart.

From there she started her own business called The Career Studio offering career counseling, resume writing and other career services. To augment a struggling start-up practice, she became a part-time manager for Prep-Matters, an SAT and Educational Counseling service.

As a manager, Ms. Morgan-Jaffe dedicates herself to understanding how organizations and individuals succeed. She has a masters degree from George Washington University in career development and has worked with a variety of organizations and individuals to help them be more effective in their work.

Today, Cindy combines all three competencies as part owner of a software as a service company called Orchid.

Personally, Cindy has five children, ranging in ages from 21 down to a set of 7-year-old twins. She grew up in Jackson Hole Wyoming, enjoys the outdoors, and never has the perfect hair day.
