Professional Reinvention Insights from the Pages of Leader to Leader, with author Bruce Rosenstein

Today’s organizational professionals must become change leaders, within their own lives and those of their organizations. We often hear of the need to reinvent ourselves, but how is this really accomplished.

In this session, Bruce Rosenstein, Managing Editor of the award-winning journal Leader to Leader, and author of Create Your Future the Peter Drucker Way, and Living in More Than One World: How Peter Drucker's Wisdom Can Inspire and Transform Your Life will guide us to planning and executing our own reinventions via the ideas and experiences of Leader to Leader authors such as Whitney Johnson, Daniel Goleman, Herminia Ibarra, Bob Buford, and Mo-Yee Lam.

We will explore how to apply lessons such as Johnson’s concept of self-disruption; Goleman’s focus on a longer future with a wider professional lens; Ibarra’s “outsight” principal; Buford’s adaptation of five reflection questions of Peter Drucker; and Lam’s transformation from a sedentary lifestyle into an ultra-marathon athlete. Each example provides a key to how we can reinvent our own lives, inside and outside the workplace.
