Transfer Your Skills Successfully Into the Proposal Industry

Mr. Bogdan will discuss the pros and cons of becoming an independent consultant, planning for success, and support that can you expect from Proposal Development Consultants.

BIO

Ed Bogdan is a management and business development consultant with over 30 years of technical writing, proposal preparation, proposal management, business management, and strategic planning experience. He was the founder and president of Quepco, a small, East Coast environmental engineering and land planning boutique consulting firm for over 15 years. Quepco clients included Avon, Pepsico, IBM, financial institutions, and scores of land developers throughout the Mid Atlantic.

Most recently, Ed has been providing strategic planning, business development, and proposal management consulting services directly to IT, communications, military engineering, and environmental federal contractors in and around the Washington Metropolitan Area. As seller/doer in several of his positions, he maintained direct responsibility for management of projects and programs awarded through his proposal efforts. He incorporates his understanding of the delicate balance between "promises" and production into his proposal management philosophy.

As Managing Director of Proposal Development Consultants, Ed has melded his "proposals" and business management acumen into a client-centric, problem solving, search consulting business model that focuses on on-demand consulting assistance in addition to placement of proposal professionals. He has developed specific programs and tools designed to update and facilitate capture, proposal planning, and proposal preparation activities.
